Portlandia Fertile Eggs Hatched

Grocery Store Eggs Hatched

Grocery store chicks hatched yesterday. White egg laying white colored birds.  These were bought at Whole Foods and the carton says “Fertile Eggs”.  About 60 percent hatch rates overall counting the carton of eggs from another small farm that hatched similar chicks.  The second small farm eggs did not say anything about “Fertile Eggs” on the carton but they hatched.  Better hatch rate than my experience buying eggs from Ebay.

*UPDATE: White leghorn type from fertile eggs bought at the grocery store.  Decided to call them Portlandias.   Good layers and good feed to egg ratio.  Look pretty much like white leghorns.  Sightly heavier.  No telling what cock breed was covering the hens.
